AbstractThis research to describe the increase in student learning activities using cooperative learning model type Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) on Natural Science Class III Bawamai Elementary School. Technique of collecting data in the form of direct observation and test. The results obtained in this study are: (1) The ability of teachers in planning learning with STAD cooperative learning model is good, the average score of teachers ability in preparing the RPP in cycle I of 2.66 with the category of assessment is good enough, and the score increases at cycle II to 3.23 with good judgment. (2) The ability of teachers in the implementation of learning with STAD cooperative approach to science learning is also quite good. This can be seen from the improvement of the teacher's ability to implement the learning cycle with the average score of 2.19 and the second cycle increased to 3.42. (3) There is an increase in student learning activity in cycle I of 2.75 and cycle II to 3.18.
