PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA MENGGUNAKAN METODE BERCERITA PADA SISWA KELAS III SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI 29 SUNGAI AMBAWANG

Abstract

The problem in this study is "whether by using the storytelling method can improve the speaking skills of grade 3 students of public elementary school 29 Sungai Ambawang"? The purpose of this research is to describe the improvement of students"™ speaking skill using storytelling method in grade 3 state elementary school 29 Sungai Ambawang. The method used is descriptive method. The research used is classroom action research. The research activity was conducted in grade 3 of   elementary school of 29 Sungai Ambawang with the research subjects of 3rd graders which amounted to 20 people. The results showed that students"™ speaking skills in cycle 1 seen from 20 students still have 5 unfinished people 275 while the completed 1287,5 (15 people) with an average value of 78,12. In cycle 2, there was a visible increase of 20 students who completed 1637,5 (18 persons) while 125 unadjusted (2 persons) with an average score of 88,12. Then on cyclical 3 again increased visible from 20 students who completed with an average value of 96,25. It can be concluded that using the storytelling method can improve students"™ speaking skills in grade 3 of public elementary school 29 Sungai Ambawang.
