PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN ALAM DENGAN METODE DEMONSTRASI PADA SISWA KELAS V SDN 23 MEMPAWAH HILIR

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan  Metode Demonstrasi di kelas V SDN 23 Mempawah Hilir. Rumusan masalah umumnya yaitu : “Apakah metode demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada pembelajaran  IPA di kelas V SDN Mempawah Hilir?” Jenis penilitian yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas terhadap 23 siswa Kelas V. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus. Teknik Pengumpulan Data yaitu Observasi Langsung dengan Alat Lembar Observasi, kemudian data diperoleh, direduksi, disajikan, dan disimpulkan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yaitu aktivitas fisik dari sebelum siklus I ke siklus III sebesar 22,23% (sangat tinggi). Pada aktivitas mental dari sebelum siklus I ke siklus III sebesar 36,68% (tinggi). Aktivitas emosional dari sebelum siklus I ke siklus III sebesar 43,37% (sangat tinggi)

Abstract: The research  was carried out with the aim to improve the Natural Science learning activities by using the Demonstration Method to 5^th (fifth) grade student at State Elementary School Number 23 Mempawah Hilir.  The common problem formulation namely “Is by using the Demonstration Method able to increase  the Natural Science learning activities for 5^th (fifth) grade student at State Elementary School Number 23 Mempawah Hilir ?” The research method applied is the Action Research Method. The research implemented for three cycles to 21 (twenty-one) students of the 5^th grade at Elementary School Number 23 Mempawah Hilir. The data gathering technique is Direct Observation by using the student’s observation sheet tool then data acquired, reduced, presented and summarized. The research results  show that increase the physical activities  taken before the 1^st cycle  to 3^rd cycle was 22,23% (very high category), the mental activities taken before the 1^st cycle to 3^rd cycle was 36,68% (high category) and emotional activities taken from 1^st cycle to 3^rd cycle was 43,37% (very high category)
