Abstract

This research aims to handling student"™s adaptive reasoning obstacles by thinking aloud pair problem solving strategy in junior high school. Subject in this research is six students in VIII A SMP N 10 Pontianak. The used form of this research is group design experiment. Result and data analysis that have obtained from this research is TAPPS strategy can handling epistemological obstacle of student"™s adaptive reasoning. Before given TAPPS strategy, the six students experiences obstacles in adaptive reasoning indicators. After epistemological obstacles of adaptive reasoning being handled by TAPPS strategy epistemological obstacles of adaptive reasoning on the indicator filed allegations, provided reasons for the answers given, taken a conclusions from a statement, checked the validity of an argument, and found the pattern of a mathematical problem. Average test results of six students before handled by TAPPS strategy was 11, and result after handled by strategy TAPPS average result of six students was 21.3.
