Abstract

Mathematics in the school and mathematics were found by student in daily life is very different. That"™s why, mathematics is often seen as difficult subject by student. Mathematics should build a bridges between mathematics in the real world with mathematics in the school. The purpose of this research were to identify elements of Gawai Mamandung tradition associated with mathematics in Dayak Taman tribe, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu and to design a mathematics worksheet sourced the tradition for Junior High School. The research method is descriptive, the research form is Qualitative research, the research subject are Traditional Leaders and The Society of Dayak Taman Tribe who knows about Gawai Mamandung and the research object is Gawai Mamandung tradition. The element of Gawai Mamandung that has relation with mathematics are Sialaan Kuda, Kombong Salangko, Kombong Sakampungan, Pandanang Baras, Padeng Pandung, Marere"™ Tana, Bumbulan, Pasiap, Munoo"™ Katioan and Mamasi. The student worksheet in this research is sourced from Gawai Mamandung"™s elements, Munoo"™ Katioan. This worksheet will be used one times in Aljabar for Junior High School Student.
