Abstract

This research was used for the documentation to complete data and information about Banjar Timang dance. The form of research was writing and drawing and video of dance Timang Banjar in Keraton Kadriyah Pontianak City because Banjar Timang dance was never performed again after 1985. Banjar Timang dance was a dance tradition of Malay. Banjar Timang dance had characteristic of Pontianak City especially Keraton environment.The purpose of research were: 1) Described the presentation of Banjar Dance Dance at Kadriyah Palace Pontianak City of West Borneo. 2) Described the design of the implementation in   dance learning of Banjar Timang in art and culture subjects in High School. This research used descriptive method. The researcher also used qualitative form and choreography approach. The technique of data collection was observation, interviews, and documentation.   The validity of test was the extension of observation and triangulation of sources. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that the form of presentation of Banjar Timang dance in Keraton Kadriyah Pontianak. The results of this study were expected to be implemented in the art of high school culture for tenth grade students.
