Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using field trip learning methods(employee) towards student learning outcomes in IIS X history class   SMAN 6 Pontianak. The research method used is an experimental method with pre-experimental design and the research design used is One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. The research subjects were X IIS 1 class SMAN 6 Pontianak. The process of class determination which is the subject of research is based on the lowest student learning outcomes. Data collection tools which has been used is consist of observation sheets, learning outcomes tests, and documentation. Based on the data analysis used, using the t-test the results obtained by the significance value (Sig.2t tailed) is 0,000. So, testing the hypothesis Ho is rejected and Ha isaccepted, because 0,000 <0,05. These shows that the use of the field trip method is effective to be used in the learning process in the historical subjects of X IIS class in SMAN 6 Pontianak. Effect size of student learning outcomes is 1.37 so according to that data the student who get 1.37 outcomes is categorized as high class. These shows that the use of the field trip method is used effectively in the teachingand learning process.
