Abstract

The problem in this study is whether there are differences in the effect between Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) and Propioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) on limb flexibility in sepak takraw games. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of isolated isolated stretching (AIS) and propioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) on limb flexibility in sepak takraw games. The method used is an experiment with pre-experimental design, namely two group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was physical education students in the fourth semester of class A, 34 samples were divided into 2 groups, 17 people were given the AIS method and 17 people were given the PNF method. Based on the data obtained the results of the calculation of the average pretest and posttest scores of the AIS group are 15.64 and 13.13. Meanwhile for the average pretest and posttest of the PNF group namely 15.81 and 12.69. The conclusion in this study is that the AIS group has an increase of 2.51 and if it is reduced to 19%, while for the PNF group there is an increase of 3.12 and if it is set to 25%.
