PENGARUH INKUIRI TERBIMBING TERHADAP MINAT DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMP NEGERI 21 PONTIANAK

Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning towards study interest and learning outcome of SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak students on acid, base, and salt material. The research form used quasi experimental with Non-equivalent Control Group design. The sampling technique used saturated sampling, the class VII G as an experimental class and the class VII F as the control class. Data were collected by using test and questionnaire. The result of data analysis using U-Mann Whitney test showed the differences of learning outcome between students of control class and students of experimental class that learned by using guided inquiry learning. Based on calculation of effect size that showed there were effect to increase learning outcome around 16.28%. Student"™s study interest towards guided inquiry learning obtained a very strong average rate of approval around 88.36%.
