Abstract

Abstract

This research describes reading comprehension skill of Grade VII Students SMP Negeri In Pontianak Utara Academic Year 2017/2018. Students"™ reading comprehension skill is described by average scores at the level of factual, interpretative, and applicative understandings. The subjects of this research are 207 grade VII students from total seven SMP Negeri in Pontianak Utara. The collecting data technique is based on the test   of reading comprehension skills through 40 objective questions. Based on the data, the conclusion is reading comprehension skill of grade VII students SMP Negeri in Pontianak Utara is at average level, because the average score (77.00) is higher than Minimum   Criteria of Mastery Learning or KKM (74.00) in subject Bahasa Indonesia.
