Abstract

                                                                                                           ABSTRACT

The paper discusses "Students' Perception of the Teaching Style of Social Studies Teachers of Class VIII in Pontianak State Junior High School 09.   The aim of this research is to determine students' perceptions of the teacher's teaching style. The method of research is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The tool of data collection are observation guidelines, interview guidelines and documentation. The results of research are (1) monotonous teaching styles, the teachers often use the teaching style, (2) the teachers never use technology in teaching learning process, (3) the teacher only use a few aspects in teaching learning process. Perhaps the teachers did but it is not maximal, (4) interactional teaching style, in this teaching style the teachers are less effective in the application of the learning process.
