This research is based on the desire of researcher to know the process of library collection that available in the library MAN 2 Pontianak. This study aims to find out how the process of library collection and constraints in the processing of library collection in the library MAN 2 Pontianak. In this study researcher used descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Collecting data is done through interviews, observations, and documentation in the library MAN 2 Pontianak West Kalimantan.In the results of research, indicates that the process of library collection in the library MAN 2 Pontianak, especially the processing of library collection has not met the standards of library management procedures due to lack of knowledge of librarians and lack of experts in the field of libraries. There are still many less understand from the officers in making the catalog, classification, and arrangement of collections on the bookshelf. A book that every year more and more but the school has not much attention to the school library in managing, especially the library collection, the lack of tools to manage libraries such as computers to input database books, making one of the factors inhibit the processing.
