Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe the potential of the Carbide Cannon game tradition for school mathematics learning. The subjects in this study were those who considered as indigenous elders in the edge of the Kapuas river and also had the knowledge needed, namely H. Sy. Ismail AR. Alkadrie, Syaiful Azhar, Syafarudin Usman, and Ridwan. The method usedin this study is descriptive qualitative method. From the results  of interview and data analyze obtained are (1) historical value in mathematics learning at grade 5 and grade 10; (2) Anniversary of Pontianak City, value of compactness, togetherness, religious, and formation of committeesin   mathematics learning at grade 3; (3) Economic value in mathematics learning at grade 7; (4) Wooden barks in mathematic learning at grade 3, grade 6 and grade 9; (5) Number of Carbide Cannon in mathematics learning at grade 1; (6) Position of the Carbide Cannon in mathematics learning at grade 7; (7) Carbide Cannon Motif in mathematics learning at grade 7 and grade 8; (8) the Use of water and carbide in mathematics learning at grade 3, grade 4 and grade 9; (9) dating in the carbide Cannon playing in mathematics learning at grade 7; (10) Manufacturing costs in learning mathematics at grade 7 and grade 11; (11) Related parties in mathematics learning at grade 7; (12) Sparking the Carbide Cannon Ignition in mathematics learning at grade 12.
