"Ba, Ma, Ne" are types of particle words that is often used in Mandarin. The three of themused to express someone"™s mood when talking about a topic. Other than that, the use of different intonation can change the meaning of the words. Mandarin learners sometimes made mistakes in using them. To know the mastery level and the difficulty level of class XII students of SMA TARUNA BUMI BUMI KHATULISTIWA KUBU RAYA towards particle words "Ba, Ma, Ne" the writers did a test to the students by using particle words "Ba, Ma, Ne". The research finding showed that learned they haven"™t mastered the usage of these 3 words well. The percentage of correctness of "Ba" was 70.29%, "Ma" was 65.80%, "Ne" was 61.45%.
