Abstract

This research uses a descriptive method which aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes with the implementation of a class IV learning project based on elementary school 05 Nyandung Samalantan. The procedure in this study has four stages, namely, planning, implementation, and reflection. This study has two cycles with each cycle two meetings. This study was conducted in class IV elementary 05 Nyandung Samalantan with a total of 32 students consisting of 14 female students and 18 male students. This research is collaborative. Data collection techniques in this study use theory and instruments that use measurements used for instrument I and instrument II. To measure student outcomes using a written test. Based on the results of the research conducted, the results of instrument I in cycle I were obtained with an average of 3.00 and cycle II with a mean of 3.56. On instrument II, the results of cycle I were 3.00 and cycle II with a mean of 3.43. Whereas student learning outcomes obtain results in cycle I with a mean of 69.44 and cycle II with a mean of 82.16. Based on these results, project based learning can improve student learning outcomes in energy and sound energy.
