Abstract

The title of this study was "Analysis of the Causes of Adolescents Consuming Drugs Viewed from Family Education Mistakes (A Case Study at Wisma Sirih Sungai Bangkong Pontianak). The main problem of this study was what causes adolescent to consume drugs with sub-problems whether parental education was the cause of adolescent consuming drugs and whether family conditions were also the cause of adolescent drug addicts at Wisma Sirih Sungai Bangkong installation in Pontianak. The purpose of this research was to find out the factors that caused adolescents trapped in abusing or consuming drugs due to parents' upbringing and family conditions that were not harmonious.This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The results of this study showed that education errors in a family and family relationships that were not harmonious will be the trigger factor for adolescents   to abuse or consume drugs. From three residents who became the object of this study, it was found that the mistakes of parents upbringing and the conditions of family that were not harmonious or broken home family could be a factor   why adolescents falling into drug abuse.
