Abstract

The thesis entitled the influence of the contextual teaching and learning approach on student learning achievement in Pontianak State High School 5 aims to examine the effect of the contextual teaching and learning approach on student learning achievement on SPLTV material at Pontianak Public High School 5 The population in this study were students of class X IPA Pontianak 5 High School. The sample of this study was the students of class X IPA 2 and X IPA 4 who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. X IPA 2 as an experimental class with CTL approach learning. While class X IPA 4 as a control class with a scientific approach. The data collection technique used is a test. The test used is a test of learning outcomes. The pretest and posttest data were analyzed using the t-test after fulfilling the homogeneity test and normality test. The results of data analysis indicate that t count> t table is 10.37> 1.69389. Thus it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach on student achievement.
