EFEKTIVITAS PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN GROUP INVESTIGATION TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMP MATA PELAJARAN IPS

out the effectiveness of Group Investigation learning model implementation through students' learning outcome on Grade VIII in IPS subject at SMPN 2 Pontianak. The method used in this research was quasi experimental design. The research design was nonequivalent control group design. The subject were 31 students as an experiment class and 31 students as a control class. The result showed that the teacher plans on Group Investigation learning model were preparing lesson plan, pictures, post test, implementation in Group Investigation learning model was appropriate with indicators of Group Investigation learning model, the effectiveness of Group Investigation learning model was viewed from students' learning outcome between experiment class and control class had significantly different. It was proved by the post test mean score of control class that had 73.5. The post test mean score of experiment class was 77.7. Based on t-test, there was sig. score (2-tailed) that had 3.333 >3.0116 used independent sample t-test, it can be concluded that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, it means that there was a difference between experiment class and control class. The effectiveness of Group Investigation learning model implementation with effect size 0.64 and categorized as good.
