Abstract
Adverbs are an important part of Mandarin language grammar, "you", "zai" and "hai" are included in adverbs. Judging from the meaning of the word and its use there are similarities and differences. Therefore, students who learn Mandarin language in the process of learning these three words often experience errors in understanding which can lead to the use of inappropriate words.This research was aimed to find out the mastery of among Year 2016 Students of Mandarin Language Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tanjungpura University on the adverbs "you" "zai" and "hai". The researcher used test method to analyze it.The results of this research were the students haved good mastery on the adverb "zai", the percentage of correct answers reached 75%. But the results of analysis of mastery, "you", and "hai" was not good enough, the percentage just were below 75%. In the analysis of difficulties, the researcher found the problem, the students confused to put the adverbs "you", "zai" and "hai" in the grammar compilation section.
