Abstract

Abstract

This research is objective to know there are no influences and how much are the influence of the discovery for student learning result in grade III of Elementary School 66 city Pontianak. The method used is the experimental method. This research, using Quasi Experimental design with form Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample in this study is the all grade III student. The data collecting technique is a measurement technique. The data collection tool used is a multiple choice test. Based on the data analysis, the result of average post-test of experimental class is 77,85   and  post-test of control class is 71,17   tcount 2,8 and ttable (α = 5% and dk = 26 + 30 - 2 = 54) of 1,674, because tcount   >   ttable, then Ha accepted. So, it can be concluded that there is the influence of   discovery for student learning results. The effect size (d) calculation  obtained = 0,515 which pertained in moderate effect, that is effect size 0,51-1,00. It can be said that discovery gives a moderate effect   influence on the learning result of   Natural Sciences in the III grade of Elementary School 66 city Pontianak.
