PELAKSANAAN KOMPETENSI SOSIAL GURU DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SOSIOLOGI KELAS XI IPS SMAN 3 TELUK KERAMAT

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan kompetensi sosial guru dalam pembelajaran sosiologi kelas XI IPS SMAN 3 Teluk Keramat Kabupaten Sambas Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif  dengan tehnik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 1 orang guru sosiologi. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan kompetensi sosial guru pada aspek bertindak dan bersikap obyektif terhadap siswa dalam pembelajaran yaitu, guru bersikap adil dan tidak diskriminatif dalam berinterkasi dan memberikan penilaian hasil belajar siswa, beradaptasi dengan lingkungan kelas yaitu guru peduli dengan kebersihan dan ketenangan suasana kelas, dan berkomunikasi efektif, santun, dan empati dengan siswa yaitu guru memberikan teguran dan kritik yang mendidik, guru peduli dengan keadaan siswa, guru dalam berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa yang mudah dipahami oleh siswa yaitu Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the implementation of the social competence of teacher in teaching sociology class XI IPS SMAN 3 Teluk Keramat Sambas regency of West Kalimantan Province. The approach used in this research is qualitative approach and descriptive method with the technique collecting data through observation and interview. The sample in this study was 1 sociology teacher. The results of data analysis showed that the implementation of teacher’s  social competence on  acting aspects and being objective towards the students in learning, teacher was fair and did not discriminate to interact and give assessment of students learning outcomes, adaptif the classroom environment where teacher concerned with cleanliness and quietness of the classroom’s atmosphere, and communicated effectively, polite, and empathy with the students and with the  teacher gave educative diffusion and criticism, teacher care about the students, the teacher communicated using language that is easily understood by students that is bahasa
