Abstract

This research aims to analyze and produce refutation-structured text handout to remediate student misconception on dynamic fluid. Research and Development (R&D) method used in this study which is adopted from four steps ADDIE development. It involved 80   students from 2 schools in Pontianak whom participated in preliminary field and main field. Data collected by using validity questionnaire, student response questionnaire and diagnositc test. The result shows refutation-structure text handout has valid categories which are it can be seen from content feasibility 0,76 (high criteria), presentation 0,63 (high criteria), language 83,3% (good category) and graphic 76,65% (good category). Students response on preliminary field and main field, respectively 91,31% (very high category) and 88,64% (high category). Great effectiveness of refutation text reading material in reducing misconceptions on the preliminary field and main field, obtained an average DQM price of 80.35% (high category) and obtained an average DQM price of 68.18% (medium category).The results of this study was expected could be used by teacher to remediate dynamic fluid misconception as an alternative media.
