Abstract
This study aims to analyze whether there is an influence the application of the pair checks assisted by the number of dakon to the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN 13 Dungun Perapakan. The research method used is an experimental with a Quasi Experimental Design. The population in this study were all grade V SDN 13 Dungun Perapakan. The research sample is class V A and class V Bconsisting of 20 students of class V B and 20 students of class V A. Data collection tool form of student learning outcomes tests with a 14 essay questions. Based on statistical calculations of the average results of the final test of the experimental class of 65.50 and the average of the final test result of the control class of 49.00 obtained a tcount of 5.67 and a table α = 5% (with dk = 20 + 20 - 2 = 38) equal to 1.683 which means tcount (5.67)> ttable (1.683), then Ha is accepted. So, it can be concluded that there are significant differences between the two average student learning outcomes in the material using prime factors to determine the KPK and FPB, between groups of students taught by applying expository strategies, and groups of students taught by applying the pair checks model in class V SDN 13 Dungun Perapakan. From the calculation of effect size (ES), an ES of 0.92 is obtained with high criteria.
