Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the pedagogical competence of teachers in facilitating the diversity of learning styles of children aged 5-6 years in Bruder Dahlia Kindegarten Pontianak. The research method used is qualitative. The data source of this study was one teacher of Class B1 Bruder Dahlia Kindegarten. The technique of this research was observation with observation guides, interview techniques with interview guides, and documentation with documentation tools. Data analysis in this research was data collection, data reduction, presentation and conclusion /verification. Based on the results of research that has been done, in general it can be concluded that the teacher understands the characteristics of students, especially the diversity of children learning styles, first observing the learning styles of children during the learning process and then identifying learning styles each child, planning learning to facilitate the diversity of children learning styles namely choosing activities, varied media and learning materials easily understood by children, implementing learning to facilitate the learning styles diversity   using activities and media vary and explaining the material in a fun way, then evaluating learning to facilitate the diversity of children learning styles, namely conducted question and answer to children at the end of learning.
