PEMAHAMAN KONSEPTUAL MATEMATIS SISWA PADA MATERI KUBUS DI KELAS IX SMPS BUMI KHATULISTIWA

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman konseptual matematis siswa pada materi kubus di Kelas IX SMPS Bumi Khatulistiwa ditinjau dari tingkat kemampuan matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian berupa studi kasus. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 21 siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konseptual matematis siswa untuk kelompok atas termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan persentase ketercapaian sebesar 78%, kemampuan siswa kelompok menengah termasuk dalam kategori rendah dengan persentase ketercapaian sebesar 57% dan kemampuan siswa kelompok bawah termasuk dalam kategori sangat rendah dengan persentase ketercapaian sebesar 33%.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the students' conceptual understanding of mathematical material in Class IX cube SMPS Earth Equator in terms of the level of mathematical ability. The method used is descriptive research is a form of case studies. The sample was 21 students. The results of the data analysis showed that students' mathematical conceptual understanding for the above groups were categorized by the percentage of achievement by 78%, the ability of the middle group of students included in the low category with the percentage of achievement by 57% and lower ability groups of students included in the category with a very low percentage of achievement by 33%.
