Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the teacher as a motivator and facilitator in using internet media to increase student interest in learning. The research approach used is qualitative using descriptive methods. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis was conducted in a descriptive qualitative manner.There were 3 informants consisting of one sociology teacher and two MA Nurul Falah students, Teluk Pakedai District. The results that can be seen from the role of the teacher as a Motivator and Facilitator in the use of Internet media in increasing student interest in learning class XI B MA Nurul Falah, namely, as a Motivator are, 1) using various varied strategies 2) Creating a pleasant atmosphere to create an atmosphere in the classroom like competitions, 3) giving praise by applause, 4) giving assessments when students can answer the teacher's questions. As a facilitator is, 1) understand various types of learning media, namely by using various types of learning media, 2) skills in designing learning media, namely by designing the use of handphone media to access the internet.
