Abstract
This study entitled "Character-Based Classroom Management at SMAN 1 Nanga Pinoh. This study aims to determine the arrangement of space and equipment, management of learning activities and management of problematic behavior. This research method is descriptive with a form of qualitative research. The assessment instrument used was an interview questionnaire for teachers and students. Sources of data were obtained from the principal, economics teacher, and 6 students of 112 social science class. The final result of this classroom management research is the realization of learning conditions that are effective, conducive, and fun, and build the moral character of students. The results of the assessment of the Principal, 112 social science class 1 Economy teachers on class management which includes spatial planning and equipment, management of learning activities, and managing problematic behavior that the results show that they are effective, good, and that there has been a gradual change. Meanwhile, the response of students of 112 social science class to the arrangement of space and equipment, management of learning activities, and management of problematic behavior is that the teacher has implemented it as well as possible and the results have been effective and satisfying. For students, this provides comfort in learning .
