Abstract
This study aim to develop a monopoly game media in the sub-material of the branches of biology science for class X high school students and to determine the response of class X students of Talino Katolik high school to the monopoly game media in the submaterial of the branches of biological sciences. This research us Research and Development (R&D) with The Borg & Gall development model consisting of four stages namely, Information gathering, Planning, Development of initial product forms, and initial field tests. The research instrument used in this study was the validation sheet of the monopoly game media, validated by 5 validators and the student response questionnaire validated by 3 validators. The subjects of this research were students of X IPA class in Talino Catholic High School, Kubu Raya Regency. The results of the validation for monopoly game media for the aspects of format, content, language, and illustration obtained a CVI value of 0.99 so that it was declared valid. The student response questionnaire consisted of 3 aspects namely cognitive, affective, and conative containing of 18 items. The trial results obtained an overall average value of 96.83% which was declared very strong. It is said monopoly herefore game media was valid a learning medium in school.
