Abstract

This study aims to see the time efficient use of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. The method used is descriptive method and the form of research is a form of survey research. The population in this study was 113 and the sample was 30 students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. This study uses a quantitative approach. The data technique used is direct communication techniques in the form of interviews and indirect communication in the form of questionnaires. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used the interpretation technique and the proportion formula. Based on the results of the research, it shows that the time utilization of students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak is included in the "Enough" category, which means that the utilization of free time of students of class XI IPS of SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak has not been maximized in utilizing their free time because it shows the total results. From the aspect of Sundays, semester leave and from the three external factors that affect the utilization of leisure time of XI IPS class students, they reach the "Enough" category with an actual score of 1515 from the ideal maximum score of 2700 so that it reaches a proportion of 56.1%. students can take full advantage of the free time they have.
