ABSTRACT
This research was motivated by the low ability of students in writing fable story texts. This action was carried out by the author through discovery learning model with serial image media to improve writing skills of fable story text. This study aims to describe the ability, implementation and evaluation of the results of the text of the fable story using the discovery learning model with serial image media. The method used in this research is descriptive class action research. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The results of writing the text of the fable story using the discovery learning model with serial image media showed an increase in student learning outcomes. In the first cycle there were 17 students and 11 students who did not complete with a percentage of 60.71% completeness, while in the second cycle there were 24 students who completed and 4 students who did not complete 85.71%.
