Abstract

This study aims to determine the interpersonal communication within the family at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 13 Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive method with the type of survey study research (survey studies). The number of samples used was 34 parents of students. The research location was conducted at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 13 Pontianak. Data collection techniques and tools use indirect communication (questionnaires). Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used interpretation technique and percentage formula. Based on the results of this study, it shows that interpersonal communication within the family at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 13 Pontianak is in the "Good" category, which means that the communication carried out by parents to children is good because it shows overall results from the aspects of openness, empathy, and a positive sense of communication. and from the three aspects it is included in the "Good" category with an actual score of 3126 from the ideal maximum score of 3600 so that the percentage result is 86.83%. So it is hoped that in the future parents will continue to do well in communicating with children and always be open to children, have empathy, and always have a positive feeling for children.
