Abstract

This research aims to improve the reader's understanding of moral values in the novel Dan Burung-Burung Pun Pulang ke Sarangnya karya Mashdar Zainal. This research is qualitative with descriptive method. The approach in this research is the sociology of literary works with data collection techniques is a documentary study technique. Data collection tools are researchers as key instruments assisted with stationery and research instruments. The data source of this research is the novel Dan Burung-Burung Pun Pulang ke Sarangnya karya Mashdar Zainal with data in the form of quotations of words, phrases and sentences that lead to the object of analysis. The technique tests the validity of the data used persistence observation, triangulation and referential adequacy. The results showed that the moral value data found amounted to 43 forms consisting of 18 forms of human moral values to God, 24 forms of human moral values to humans, and 2 forms of human moral values to nature. The implementation plan of learning the results of this research is combined with Learning Bahasa Indonesia in grade XII high school level/ equivalent in the curriculum 2013 with KD 3.9 Analyzing the content and language novels and KD 4.9 Designing novels or novelets.
