PENGARUH PENGETAHUAN PELUANG KERJA TERHADAP KEPUTUSAN MEMILIH JURUSAN SISWA SMK LKIA PONTIANAK

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effect of knowledge about employment opportunities to the decision to choose majors in class X SMK LKIA Pontianak 2012-2013 school year. The research method used is associative method, with this form of research is the study of relationships. The sample in this study is a class X which numbered 108 people. There is positive knowledge of job opportunities to the decision to choose majors in class X SMK LKIA Pontianak. Based on t count of 4.551 indicates that there is the influence of the independent variable ( X ) on the dependent variable ( Y ). When compared with the t table at 95 % significance level of 1.659. Then t is greater than t table or 4.551 > 1.659 so Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. Calculation of simple linear regression equation obtained X. Y = 33.009 +0.289 Coefficient of Determination on the percentage contribution of this study demonstrate the effect of knowledge of job opportunities to the decision to choose majors at 16.3 %, while the rest is influenced by other variables.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengetahuan tentang peluang kerja terhadap keputusan untuk memilih jurusan pada siswa kelas X SMK LKIA Pontianak tahun ajaran 2012-2013. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode asosiatif, dengan bentuk penelitian ini adalah studi hubungan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini merupakan siswa kelas X yang berjumlah 108 orang. Terdapat pengaruh positif pengetahuan peluang kerja terhadap keputusan untuk memilih jurusan pada siswa kelas X SMK LKIA Pontianak. Berdasarkan t hitung sebesar 4,551 menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh variabel bebas (X) terhadap variabel terikat (Y). Jika dibandingkan dengan t tabel pada taraf signifikansi 95% sebesar 1,659. Maka t hitung lebih besar daripada t tabel atau 4,551 > 1,659 sehingga Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Perhitungan regresi linier sederhana diperoleh persamaan Y = 33,009+0,289X. Koefisien Determinasi pada penelitian ini menunjukkan persentase sumbangan pengaruh pengetahuan peluang kerja terhadap keputusan memilih jurusan sebesar 16,3%, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain.
