Abstract

This study aimed to improve the student achievement of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Kendawangan on static fluid by applying the guided inquiry model. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. Determination of the sample in this study using intact group random sampling with a total 29 students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Kendawangan. The measurement technique using a measuring instrument in the form of a written test, a description of the data collection technique used in this study. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in student achievement by 61,45, from 21,1 to 82,55 is calculated from the average value of the pretest and posttest. Meanwhile, the results of effectiveness calculations using effect size show a significant of 7,72 with a high category. This shows that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after applying the guided inquiry model to learning, so that the application of this model is feasible to be used as an alternative in an effort to improve student learning outcomes.
