Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Talking Stick learning model on student learning outcomes in class XI IPS 3 in PPKn subjects at SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. The research method used is an experimental method with the form of research used is the Pre-Experimental Design. The research design used was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 34 students of class XI IPS 3. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students before and after being treated experienced significant differences. It is proven by looking at the average pre-test results of students before using the Talking Stick learning model, namely 58.38. The average post-test results of students treated using the Talking Stick learning model increased by 79.26. Based on the t test, the sig. (2- tailed) value of 0.000 is obtained according to the basis for decision making in the independent sample T-test, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a difference between the mean value of the pre-test and post-test. The influence of the Talking Stick learning model with the t test of -12,043 and high category.
