Abstract

The study aims to describe the presentation form of Ngajat Iban Penyambutan Dance in Labian Village Batang Lupar Distric and to complement previous research data. The uniquenes, among other, is the dancer movement of the gender, the dancer, the floor pattern, the accompanying music, and the clothing used. This study uses descriptive methods with qualitative forms and uses a choreographic approach. The Ngajat Iban Penyambutan Dance is a dance used to welcome honored guests. Ngajat Iban Penyambutan Dance is performed by at least 2 dancers. Dancers must be male and female. In the Ngajat Iban Penyambutan Dance t here is 1 movement motive, namely is ngelempai and using a straight forward floor pattern. The musical instrumen used to accompany the Ngajat Iban Penyambutan Dance are ketubung, kenong, gong besar and gong kecil. The Ngajat Iban Penymbutan Dance uses realist makeup, clothes worn by female dancer rawa tinggi at the waist, songket cloth, tangok (teratai) used chest, shawl as well accessories sugu tinggi, anklets and hands as buah paoh, male dancer use clothes, hats, sirat that are worn around the waist. The property used is tameng.
