Abstract

This research was conducted because the Langkah Jepin Sorong Dayong is rarely featured in events to be presented in front of grand guests. Therefore, the researcher described and documented the Langkah Jepin Sorong Dayong in the form of writing, pictures, and videos. The method in this research was descriptive method with qualitative research form and choreography approach. The source of the data in the study was the Langkah Jepin Sorong Dayong. The data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation study. The data validity testing technique used was the lengthening of the observation and triangulation of sources. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the motion structure of the Langkah Jepin Sorong Dayong in Desa Kalimas Kecamatan Sungai Kakap Kabupaten Kuburaya Kalimantan Barat was as follows:There were 8 types of motion which consist of Langkah Bujur, Langkah Sorong Dayong, Langkah Gersik, Langkah Kembang Payung, Langkah Jarum Mesin, Langkah Tak Sampai, Loncat Tiong, Langkah Betiti Batang, Langkah Baki Juaddah and Langkah Tahto. The Langkah Jepin Sorong Dayong consists of 191 Motion Motives, 119 Motion Phrase, 32 Motion Sentences and 8 Motion Group which became a complete unit of motion in the Langkah Jepin Sorong Dayong.
