ABSTRACT
Animal trapping is an activity carried out by the community in order to obtain animals that live on land such as pigs, deer, mouse deer, monitor lizards, squirrels, and deer. Animals that live in water such as fish, and animals that can fly like birds using traps and techniques in a certain area. The activity of trapping animals is trapping animals using traditional technology traps that have high creative value. This research was conducted at the Dayak Kanayatn Banana '-Ahe community in Sompak District, Landak Regency. This research produces a thematic dictionary of animal trapping activities in BDKBA. Researchers focused on research on the lexicon of animal trapping activities in the Kanayatn Banana 'Ahe Dayak Language in Sompak Subdistrict, precisely in Pakumbang Village. This research successfully collected 81 lexicons consisting of 12 trap names, 13 equipment lexicons, 11 material lexicons and 12 trap parts, 12 lexicon making processes, 10 mounting processes, 7 lexicon trapping techniques and 4 trapping techniques. The results of the overall analysis of the data in the form of 81 lexical meanings, 12 trapping processes, 2 cultural meanings, 82 meaning components, and 81 semantic functions in the form of objectives and tooltip.
