DAMPAK PANDEMI COVID-19 TERHADAP PEMENUHAN KEBUTUHAN HIDUP MASYARAKAT SEKITAR OBJEK WISATA MEMPAWAH MANGROVE PARK

Abstract

Abstract

A tourist attraction that has felt the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic is the Mempawah
Mangrove Park tourist attraction. The people who work on these tours really feel the
impact of the Pandemic because the number of visitors has decreased drastically. With the
decline in the number of visitors, the income of workers has also decreased so that it is
difficult to make ends meet during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study aims to determine
the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on meeting the needs of the community around the
Mempawah Mangrove Park tourist attraction. The research method used is descriptive
with a form of qualitative research with case studies. The results showed that during the
Covid-19 Pandemic, the MMP tourist attraction experienced a significant decrease in the
number of visitors so that it had an impact on the community in fulfilling their life needs
due to disruption of community economic activities which resulted in job loss and
decreased income. In addition, the assistance provided by the Government to help the
community during the Pandemic period such as BLT, PKH and BLT UMKM was not
realized evenly so that there were still many people who did not get this assistance.
