Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop illustrated narrative thematic teaching materials on
the sub-themes of types of work for class IV at SDN 34 South Pontianak. The
research method used is research and development (R&D) by adapting the Borg
and Gall design development model. The data sources of this study were the
results of observations, interviews, expert validation, responses from students and
teachers of class IV B SDN 34 South Pontianak as well as documentation during
the use of illustrated narrative thematic teaching materials. Data collection
techniques in this study were observation, interviews and questionnaires. The
results showed that the process of developing illustrated narrative thematic
teaching materials had gone through 7 research steps, namely potential and
problems, data collection, product design, product validation, revision, trial, and
final product revision. The feasibility level of the developed learning video media
is very good in terms of design, learning materials, and language aspects with an
average value of 3.29, 3.75 and 3.10 and the results of product trials for students
and teachers of class IV B are very good. both with an average score of 3.34 and
3.57 for students and 3.88 for teachers.
