KORELASI KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA CEPAT DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan korelasi antara kemampuan membaca cepat dengan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 7 Sungai Raya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 35 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca cepat adalah 121 kpm. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa diperoleh nilai rata-rata 63. Terdapat  hubungan yang rendah antara kemampuan membaca cepat dengan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini diketahui dari perhitungan koefisien korelasi yaitu sebesar 0,351. Nilai tersebut selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan r tabel pada taraf 5 % untuk db N=33 adalah 0,344. Dengan demikian r hitung > dari r tabel atau 0,351 > 0,344, yang berarti terdapat korelasi antara kemampuan membaca cepat dengan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia Kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 7 Sungai Raya.

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the correlation between the ability of speed reading with student learning outcomes in Indonesian Elementary School 5th grade 7 Sungai Raya. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The sample was 35 students. The results showed that the ability of speed reading is 121 wpm. While the learning outcomes of students obtained an average value of 63. There is a low correlation between the ability of speed reading with student learning outcomes. It is known from the calculation of the correlation coefficient is equal to 0.351. This value is then compared with r table at the level of 5% for the db N = 33 is 0.344. Thus the count r > r table or from 0.351 > 0.344, which means that there is a correlation between the ability of speed reading with student learning outcomes in Indonesian Elementary School 5th Grade 7 Sungai Raya.
