Abstract
This research aimed to explore mathematical objects in the Balale' Tradition of the
Dayak Kanayatn tribe in Anjongan District and then integrated it into the creation of
culture-based Student Worksheets in Junior High School. The research method used is
ethnographic method, and the type of research used is qualitative. The results of the study
show that the Balale' Tradition has a direct mathematical object in the form of facts that
lie in the people who are members of the Lale'an group, the concept lies in the process of
working the fields which is carried out in turns related to the mathematical concept of
comparison of worth and reverse value, the principle lies in people's mindset in living the
Balale' Tradition, and skills lie in the working techniques of each member of the Lale'an
group. It also contains an indirect mathematical object in the form of discipline which is
seen in the consistency of Lale'an members in carrying out it. Then the mathematical
object is integrated into the creation of culture-based student worksheets using the
mathematical concept of comparison of worth and reversed value from the exploration of
mathematical objects in the Balale"™ Tradition.
