Abstract
This thesis is entitled "Analysis of the Use of Teaching Variations in IPS Subjects
in SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak." The general problem in this thesis is "How to Use
Variations in Teaching Social Sciences Subjects at SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak". The
focus of this research includes the analysis of the use of variations in teaching
social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak. This research was conducted
by using a descriptive research method using qualitative forms. From the results of
the research, it was found that the social studies subject teacher learning planning
in the planning stage was quite good. 2. The activities of the social studies subject
teacher in the teaching process stage were quite good, this can be seen from the
teacher conveying The subject matter that will be seen from the teacher delivers
the subject matter that will be discussed by writing it on the blackboard with an
explanation that is easy to understand by students .3. The activities of the social
studies subject teacher in the teaching process stage are quite good, this can be
seen from the teacher asking questions to students about the material that has been
delivered. Then conclude the results of the discussion of the subject matter that has
been discussed. In the case of assignments and assessments of social studies
subject teachers seeing the available time, if time is no longer possible then the
assignments given to students are done at home & the assessments are carried out
at the next meeting, as well as informing the subject matter to be discussed by the
teacher seeing the time which are available.
