Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting styles and children's selfconfidence in Raudhatul Jannah Kindergarten, Bengkayang Regency. The research method used is quantitative in the form of quantitative-correlational research. The sample used in this study were 30 parents, namely parents of children aged 4-6 years. The research location is in Raudhatul Jannah Kindergarten, Bengkayang Regency. Data collection techniques using observation and questionnaires. Data from the questionnaire were analyzed using correlation analysis. The results of the correlation calculation show that the relationship between authoritarian parenting and children's self-confidence is - 0.414 including the sufficient category, which means that there is a sufficient relationship between the X1 variable and the Y variable. it means that there is a weak relationship between variable X2 and variable Y, the correlation count shows the relationship between democratic parenting and children's self-confidence of 0.905 including a very strong category, which means that there is a very strong relationship between variable X3 and variable Y. There is a relationship between democratic parenting with very strong children's self-confidence in Raudhatul Jannah Kindergarten, Bengkayang Regency.
