ANALISIS SOAL TIPE HOTS DALAM SOAL UJIAN MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA SMP KABUPATEN SANGGAU

Abstract
This research aims to describe High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) type on Schools"™ Final
Examination questions of Indonesian subject at Sanggau Regency Junior High Schools in
Academic Year 2019/2020 from perspective of the using of cognitive action verbs of
Anderson and Karthwohl"™s revised Bloom"™s Taxonomy, contextual, critical thinking of
California Critical Thinking Skills Test (CCTST), and stimulus. This study used qualitative
descriptive method. The results show that all questions use the action verbs implicitly.
Contextual characteristic is presented by using the theme of questions"™ context stimulus
taken from real life situations. Education is the most used theme. Critical thinking
competence of interpretation is 44%, analysis is 29%, and inference is 27%, meanwhile
evaluation, explanation, and self-regulation aren"™t found. The format of all questions
stimulus is continuous text. The most text type used is exposition. Stimulus display of single
text is 92%, multiple text is 8%, and there is no mixed text. All questions stimulus use short
text. Stimulus reading situation of personal is 42%, public is 38%, education is 18%, and
occupation is 2%. The stimulus for measuring the competence of retrieving information is
96%, interpreting text is 96%, and no question of evaluation. All questions stimulus works
well.
