Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship between independence and student learning outcomes in thematic learning for class IV B at SDN 17 Pontianak City. The research method used is descriptive method with the form of correlational study research. The subjects in this study were students of class IV B SDN 17 Pontianak City, totaling 32 students. The data used are data from questionnaires and learning outcomes documents. Data collection techniques used are indirect communication techniques or by means of intermediary tools by providing learning independence questionnaires to students and documentary techniques using the thematic learning average value of class IV B students at SDN 17 Pontianak City. The results showed that the average learning independence of students was 80.4, the average student learning outcomes was 91.4 and the correlation between learning independence and student learning outcomes was rcount = 0.002 with a significant level of 5%, namely with N = 32. Then N = 32 is 0.367. Thus rcount < rtable or 0.002 < 0.367. Based on these data, it can be concluded that there is a very low relationship between learning independence and student learning outcomes in the fourth grade thematic learning at SDN 17 Pontianak City.
