STRUKTUR GERAK TARI JEPIN LANGKAH SERONG DI KELURAHAN BATU LAYANG KECAMATAN PONTIANAK UTARA KALIMANTAN BARAT

Abstract

The background of this research is the uniqueness of movement structure in Jepin Langkah Serong dance. Therefore, this study describes and notates the structure of Jepin Langkah Serong's dance in the form of transcription, pictures, and video. The method of this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative research form and an ethnochoreology approach. Testing the validity of the data used is the extension of observations and triangulation of sources. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the structure of the Jepin Langkah Serong"™s dance movement in Batu Layang Village, North Pontianak District, West Kalimantan is as follows: there are four types of movements consisting of Langkah Biasa Mundur Menyilang, Langkah Sorong Berputar, Langkah Gencat, Langkah Mundur Menyilang, Langkah Gantung, Langkah Ngayak Bekesek, Langkah Biasa Menyilang and Langkah Tahto. Based on the parts of motion motifs, motion phrases, motion sentences, and movement groups, the Jepin Langkah Serong's dance consists of 79 Motion Motifs, 19 Motion Phrases, 4 Motion Sentences, and 4 Motion Groups, which become a whole unified movement in the Jepin Langkah Serong's dance.
