Abstract

Abstract

Immanuel Unit 1 Vocational High School is committed to continuous teaching of Mandarin. The activeness of students and teachers in participating in various activities and competitions in the field of Mandarin as well as the achievements made by students indicate that the Chinese language teaching model in this school needs to be analyzed, so that it is known what factors support the implementation of good Mandarin learning in schools. Research conducted using quantitative and qualitative methods with descriptive analysis data collection techniques. Data were obtained through questionnaires and interviews with 11th and 12th grade students and Chinese teachers. The results showed that the teaching of Mandarin at the school had several characteristics, namely the use of appropriate language of instruction, the existence of interesting extracurricular classes, the seriousness of the school in developing Chinese teaching and the availability of teachers in accordance with their field of study.
