PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI PENERAPAN METODE EKSPERIMEN PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA KELAS IV

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas belajar peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran di kelas IV melalui penerapan metode eksperimen. Metode  penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan 13 orang peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 23 Benua Tengah. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh melalui observasi dalam proses pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan aktivitas peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA bagi peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 23 Benua Tengah dengan peningkatan aktivitas fisik sebesar 23,08% dari 61,54% di siklus I menjadi 84,62% di siklus II dengan perolehan persentase di siklus II termasuk kategori “Baik”, aktivitas mental sebesar 25,63% dari 58,98% di siklus I menjadi 84,61% di siklus II dengan perolehan persentase di siklus II termasuk kategori “Baik” dan aktivitas emosional sebesar 25,65% dari 53,84% di siklus I menjadi 79,49% di siklus II dengan perolehan persentase di siklus II termasuk kategori “Baik”.

Abstract : This research aims to describe the increasing of student learning activity in following the process of student at the fourth grade through applying of experiment method. The method of research uses descriptive with the device of classroom action research. The subjec of research is teachers and 13 students at the fourth grade of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 23 Benua Tengah. The result of data analysis is obtained through observastion in course of studying to show that the applying of experiment method can improve student learning activity at study of IPA for students at the fourth grade of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 23 Benua Tengah with the increasing of physical activity equal to 23,08% from 61,54% in cycle I become 84,62% in cycle II with the percentage acquirement in cycle II is inclusive of category “good”, spiritual activity equal to 25,63% from 58,98% in cycle I become 84,61% in cycle II with percentage acquirment in cycle II is inclusive of category “good” and emotional activity equal to 25,65% from 53,84% in cycle II is inclusive of category “good”.
