Abstract

Learning effectiveness is a standard to achieve learning objectives by regarding the indicators being assesed. In 2020, learning activities was forced to be conducted through online learning because the pandemic condition. This decision became a new challange for all educational units. Difficulties and obstacles faced by both teachers and students, and of course, affect the output of teaching and learning process. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of online geography learning process in XI graders of SMA Islam Hisada, North Pontianak. Descriptive of qualitative research was applied to find the result. The result is collected n concluded through observation, interviews and documentation to the sample, which are geography teachers and students of class XI IPS. The results showed that the online geography learning process in class XI IPS proved to be less effective in terms of learning materials delivery and the students"™ comprehension. This ineffective way leads to the decreasing of learning output.
